"Great coat"

I bought this Canada Goose parka because I needed something warm for the sub-zero/single digit temperatures we commonly experience here in the Catskill mountains, NY. I engaged in my usual obsessive research before purchase....believe me, I am not looking to spend $775 on a coat.

However, after reading the experiences of others having purchased CG jackets, I took the plunge and was not disappointed! As for fit, I am almost 6 ft tall and weigh 150 lbs, and the coat is a trim fit. It could still comfortably accommodate a wool sweater underneath. I go out layered with a tee shirt, mock turtleneck and lined LL Bean shirt in sub-zero, windy conditions and am quite warm.

The jacket is well constructed and generally high quality, commensurate with what one might expect from a CG product...and its price. Stylish too, my wife loves the look. I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the awkward zipper that others have also commented on.

"Good looking, well made coat that's not a parka"

Having already owned a Canada Goose parka, I had some expectation that this would be a very high quality garment, and I was right. The Stirling is very well made, beautifully tailored, and warm! The description does it justice-it's a trim, more stylish coat. It's also probably not best for the brutal cold, unless you run warm, as I do :) But I've been wearing it out in 10°F weather and it's been great. I like that it's not as bulky as a parka or a puffer, and the length goes below the waist, which is nice. The sleeves do run long, but they have really nice, woven cuffs that start further up, so you can tuck your gloves between the cuff and the sleeve and none of your wrist will be exposed to the elements. Also, the stand collar is quite tall, which is good for windy weather -2° thumbs up!

"Great Coat, even better customer service"

Great coat - worth the investment. I'm around 5'10", a 38 chest and slim - bought the small Langford (ran a bit big in my opinion) and fits perfectly. What brought me to write a review; however, was not the coat but the customer service at Peter Glenn. Dealing with them, you can tell why they've been in business for over 50 years. World class service (especially Sarah) who helped me with an issue throughout the entire process. If you have any doubts on the parka or Peter Glenn, don't, both are worth it.

"Did not like the fact that the hood was not detachable."

I never had a chance to use this Canada Goose jacket out in the elements, but I could tell that it would be very warm. If the hood was detachable, I think sales could sky rocket. Only because it could be used not only in the dead cold winter. But other seasons as well.

"Warm coat, exceptional quality."

This Canada Goose parka is warm, cant take that away from it! I do think this parka is WAY larger than the specs suggest. I exchanged it for a smaller size.

"Very happy with the coat"

This is a very well made and warm parka from Canada Goose. I was nervous about all of the comments to size up, and it turned out the coat was too big so I had to exchange for smaller size.

"love the color and quality"

This Canada Goose parka keeps me warm during horrible weather, and you look feminine too ;) I purchased the redwood color and it is just amazing. Happy with my purchase and Peter Glenn service.

"Great product as usual but the arms were way too tight."

I am a fairly athletic built guy at 5'9", 170 lbs. I usually fit in a Medium (lodge Hoody, bomber, etc...) In the Canada Goose hybridge light, a large fits me perfect. But for some reason, this Canada Goose jacket fits even slimmer then the hybridge light jackets and although the torso was a nice fit, I couldn't get my 16" arms into the sleeves with just a t-shirt on. The lesson learned is that all their jackets are cut differently and I love Peter Glenn since they have no problem taking it back if it doesn't fit. It just stinks that the XL would have been way too long in the torso and sleeves. Great quality as usual though, thanks Again!

"I adore this coat!"

I received so many compliments on this Canada Goose parka. It is so warm, the perfect length and great for skiing! For reference, I am 5'9", 135 lbs and needed the small and it comes almost to my knee. I know it is pricey, but this is a coat you wear year after year.

"Loved the coat, but had to size down "

This is a beautiful Canada Goose coat. I love the length of it (for reference I am about 5'9" and it almost hits my knee so it is definitely a long coat. I ordered a medium and had to exchange for a small. I am 5'9" and about 140 pounds and the medium was just a bit baggy all over. The small fits perfectly!
