I bought this Arc'teryx vest, size L, in black, for my boyfriend for Christmas. He is 6 ft, 165 lbs. He has a slender/athletic build but needed the large due to height (medium was too short). The vest is warm, flattering, and the quality is good. He wears it skiing, around the house, out to dinner, and even over shirt in tie on his way to work.

"Functional and Stylish"

I love this hat, it works so well at keeping me warm but I do wish it would drop around the ears more. I love its feminine touch!! I just took it backpacking in the smokies and I wore it for three days including sleeping in it. I'm looking for more colors in this hat. The multi color flower helps it match many outfits.

"Very pretty and feminine. "

This shirt is soft and extremely comfortable. It's certainly performs as promised. The only thing is it shows my bra straps in the front because the design is wide in the front of my shoulders.

"Must have!"

The best light weight jacket ever! Goes under a heavy ski parka or hunting jacket with ease and it wears perfectly in the spring as it is lightweight, super versatile and extremely flattering to a woman's body.

"Jacket style and fabric are fabulous"

My only problem with this jacket is that the Tiger Lily color is quite intense in person, but if you want to stand out, this is the color for you! The Arc'teryx Atom LT fabric is unlike any other jacket I've owned, and has to be felt or worn to be appreciated. It could be described as matte, perhaps. This jacket has stretchy panels down the side which allow for more freedom of movement. I think it works best as a mid or outer layer (the former in extreme cold), should fit you rather closely, and be worn without too many layers underneath. The insulation used is very efficient, and not too puffy. Arc'teryx seems to run a tad on the small side, but I am a size 8 in most clothing and this medium fit me well, without much room to spare. I really like the cuff design, too--really comfortable, thin and stretchy, without the annoying Velcro that most jackets use.

"Awesome jacket"

Took it for a test spin at Sunshine Village, Banff. With the right insulating layer, this jacket is perfect. Absolutely worth it.

"So warm. So light. So perfect. "

I was on top of steamboat mountain in 30 degree temps with only a t shirt on underneath. On the cloudy days I wore one base layer with no t shirt and was set.

"So warm and looks awesome!"

This hat looks awesome and fits nice and snug. The fleece liner that just covers my ears is an incredible and unexpected bonus.

"Technical Steeze"

I've worn these in-bounds skiing a couple times and have been impressed with them.

The Sabre pants definitely have a freeride style cut - wider legs, more-than generous boot cuffs, and a slightly lower sitting waist. While loose-and-baggy usually isn't my style, the fit is comfortable. I consider these to be my steezy pants (I went with the Cypress, which actually ended up being a pretty dark and nice shade of green).

I would say that these fit slightly larger than normal - I'm a small according to Arc'teryx's chart (30 inch waist) and an extra small would probably fit me better.

The pants have been very waterproof, and based on my other experiences with Arc'teryx gear I would expect them to remain so for a long time. One of the days I used them was in wetter snow and I stayed dry the entire time. While there isn't true insulation, the shells are thick enough to offer a bit of protection against cold chairs, wind, and snow. The oversized boot cuffs patches feel very tough and haven't shown any scratches yet. Despite this, the pants still avoid being too heavy to hike in.

I love the large thigh pockets - they're easy to access when sitting and comfortably fit plenty of stuff. Overall, these pants feel very solid and are comfortable. They probably won't be the best for hiking, but I'm planning on doing at least some touring in them and will be rocking them as my every-day resort pant.
