These very (too?) form-fitting pants would be fine for very warm spring skiing. Tough to get a base layer under them, though. The very thin fleece-like lining and the skin-tight fit will make it very tough to get them over any sort of long underwear or base layer. I liked that they had lower pockets, but other than that found them too tight & too thin.

I am 5'1 3/4" and have had a ridiculously hard time finding a petite ski pant that is warm and does not make me look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. These pants actually made me look thinner! I live in an area which is very cold and often icy or wet. I can usually get by without any extra layers, however, on those very cold -10 degree nights I add a thin long john type layer. I will always buy AFRC petite.

I am 5'1" and a bit curvy so I bought these pants in both a 16 petite and a 14 petite. I normally wear a 29" inseam in jeans. The 14P fits great, maybe half an inch too long with ski boots. The 16P was definitely too long for ski boots, but nothing my dry cleaner couldn't alter.

I had been looking for waterproof pants that were not heavy or bulky. I love the fit! They have a nice stretch, but they are not flimsy. I had originally bought them for snowshoeing/cross country, however I ended up wearing them snowboarding! They did fantastic...I'm still a newbie, so I fall frequently, and I stayed dry and warm the whole time. They have zippers at the bottom, so I had no trouble getting them over my boots. I wore them with a mid-weight base layer and was not cold at all. I was in temps of upper 20's - low 30's. If you were going to go colder, then you would need a heavier base layer.

I SKI, SNOWSHOE AND MOUNTAIN BIKE IN A GORE TEX SHELL JACKET AND PANT ALL SEASON LONG. THIS KEEPS ME TOTALLY DRY AAND BLOCKS THE WIND. WHATS NICE IS ALL I DO IS CHANGE MY LAYERS DEPENDING ON THE WEATHER. AND WITH THE PRICE OF THINGS THIS WAS THE BEST MONEY SPENT.
