"Two versions of North Face Bonic Apex jacket"

I returned this jacket because I was unaware that there are two versions of this North Face Apex Bionic. This particular one has more of a concealed side slash zippered pockets with a very light zipper. I feel the pockets are not as roomy or functional as the other version and this jacket also runs small. The other version has a more obvious functional style of pockets and zipper that is more rugged and fits perfectly.

"Great backpacking jacket"

"Heavier than average, and stretchy"

I was looking for something heavier than average, and clingy-stretchy for those really colder days on the hill. This fit the description. However, to wear this garment close to the body, order a size down. Almost every winter clothing item I order in medium fits, but to achieve the desired close to the body fit, I had to return the original and order in a small. Since today is the last day of summer, I'm projecting that this garment will be warm in colder winter weather.

"Great fit! Light weight "

Feels great. For the flexible plastic lining inside the jacket. Make sure to air dry it indoors away from the sun/heat.

"Very comfy and warm but, too bulky"

Super warm and comfy but the boots look too bulky for just walking around town for a vacation in a cold state. Now if I was going hiking/camping these would be the boots for me.

"Warm, light jacket"

Sleeve length is often an issue for me, but the large fits well. I'm 6'2", 180 lbs, 42L sport jacket and 16-36 shirt. Not too tight, not too big. Good in cool damp weather. I plan to wear this North Face as an insulating layer under my ski shell this winter. Should be good in the 20-40 degree range. We'll see.
